Franchisor Relationships

A good relationship with the hotel franchisor is essential for the property to achieve full benefits of its franchise system. Darien Hospitality Group has developed a close relationship with Cendant Corporation brands, including Wingate Inn, Howard Johnson, Days Inn, and Ramada Inn; and also has good relationships with the other major franchise systems. As past chairman of the Howard Johnson International Operators Council, Mr. Shaugnessy is especially sensitive to this important process.
